Beat Panic and Anxiety
Hi there, my name is Paul Philips. A few years back I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks that made my life completely miserable. I decided to make this website to be a resource for people going through the same thing I went through. If you want to beat panic and anxiety you've come to the right place.
At the time, I felt like I was the only one in the world who knew what it was like to have anxiety levels that were through the roof and panic attacks where I thought I was going to die on the spot. The truth however is that its a very common condition and there are millions of people around the world suffering through it today. Nowadays its much easier to get treatment than it used to be too.
There are some great self help guides on the net than can help you every step of the way and keep you in touch with support groups full of people that are in the same situation, or have recovered. There really is no need to suffer anymore.

Believe it or not, the fact that you've found this site means you're over the worst of it. You've figured out that you probably suffer from general anxiety or panic disorder and you might have had your first, or even several attacks. Nothing is as bad as the initial stages, where you think that something may be physically wrong with you and you're on death's door. After my second panic attack, I ended up in the emergency room, convinced that I had serious heart trouble.
Now that you're aware of whats wrong with you, you can set about trying to fix it. Chances are you're so terrified of anxiety and panic attacks that they are stopping you from going about your daily business with a smile on your face and enjoying life as much as you deserve to. You are trapped in a loop where the fear of it happening makes the likelihood of it happening even greater. Now is the time to get to work on recovering and getting back on your feet and show that small part of your mind that's holding you back who's boss.
Employing various self help techniques will:
- Allow you to get over your fears of social situations, and getting 'stuck' somewhere you can't get away from.
- Make you truly believe that you are in no physical danger.
- Get your general anxiety levels back down to where they used to be.
- Change the pattern of negative thoughts.
- Help you sleep.
- Give you the confidence to take control of your life again.
- Help you to look forward to the future instead of fearing it.
- Put the smile back on your face
The truth is that because your family and friends don't suffer from the type of anxiety and real panic attacks that you do, they can't really be of much help. You've either got to rely and the doctor (who gave me a fist full of Valium and sent me home) or help yourself. Have you ever heard someone say "I couldn't find my keys and had a total panic attack" and want to shake them and tell them they have absolutely no clue how terrifying a debilitating a real panic attack is? People just don't understand so unfortunately you have to do most of the work yourself, but the satisfaction you'll get when you escape the panic prison is un-rivalled and it's well worth the work you'll put in. There is a link to the self help program I followed below, I strongly recommend you get cracking on it as soon as possible and this time next week, I'd be very surprised if you haven't got your life back.
